Perry to Des Moines, 49.9 miles, 1308 ft of climb. After a stormy night, we woke up to a chilly morning. So we started out in tights and a jacket. The cool breeze and cloudy skies made it great weather for a short ride. The flattest day so far, the ride was mostly on good roads, but the last concretely section had joints every 7' with elevation change if 1". With tires of only 23mm in width, you can imagine how 1" can really rattle you on a bike. But all in all, we had a good day and only 4 more days to go!
