54.8 miles, 2476 ft of climb from Council Bluffs to Harlan. The rain held off and it was a beautiful day, nice breeze and ride was smooth with a few hills (most of them in Harlan!) Started off this morning being woken by thunder at 4:15am. First thing my mom says is, "Bug, get up! We have to get the tent tore down before the rain comes!" I was thinking WHAT?!? "Don't you seek shelter when it rains, not tear down the shelter?" Anyway, dreading to get out on the road with thunder and the rain potential, it stayed away. :)
